Mission
We are a very busy church outside of our doors (and inside, too)! We strongly believe and live that Christ's call is to love and serve our community and the world. Here is a look at a few of our ongoing mission ministries:
FISH Food Pantry is housed in the basement of our church and is part of the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Each year we provide food for nearly 1,000 people in the Linden School District. The food pantry is completely run by volunteers.
We have an active financial and service partnership with Carriage Town Ministries in Flint. Our congregation schedules visits to serve dinner or provide many other services (e.g. sorting clothes, painting, raking).
We are active in the Linden Ministerial Association, which provides rent/mortgage and utility payment assistance for people in need in the Linden School District. Pastor Seth serves as president and Linda Lewis handles intake interviews.
We also serve our neighbors by helping them prepare for the winter months, lead community service days at civic and school sites, participating with Christmas in Action, Angel Tree, Coat Drives, Clothing Drives, and much more.
We serve in the world by individually and collectively sponsoring children through international Christian ministries, supporting missionaries, through prayer, and other financial giving.
