Leadership
We believe strongly in the Reformed theological principle of the priesthood of all believers. That means that everyone who is confessing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior has been given gifts by the Holy Spirit and an appointment by God to do a form of ministry. This doesn't mean everyone needs to have a job with the church, rather it means that we are each called by God to bless His name by loving one another just as Christ loved us by serving one another.
In the Presbyterian way of doing church, the Session is a kind of spiritual board of directors. The Session is responsible for the whole life of the church: from spiritual care to making sure the roof stays on the sanctuary. Our Session consists of twelve members of the church elected by the congregation and ordained as Ruling Elders for this ministry. Pastor Seth serves as moderator of the Session. Please be in prayer for our Session as they seek to provide for the well-being of our whole church community.
The Board of Deacons provide for the spiritual care of church members and non-members primarily through home visits, prayer, and meeting basic needs. Deacons are also members of the church who are elected by the congregation and ordained as Deacons for this ministry.
